More stable driving! Late last week, this Volkswagen Golf installed BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers, front 12mm (0.5 inches), rear 15mm (0.6 inches), PCD 5×112, CB 57.1 together with BONOSS Forged Grade 12.9 Extended Wheel Bolts. The wheel spacer is sandwiched between the car’s wheel and hub. By pushing the wheel away an ideal distance from the hub, it creates spaces between the wheel and hub. If you have upgraded your braking system with bigger calipers, it will take up spaces which cause the wheel cannot be mounted back properly. Installing wheel spacers can create extra clearance to push the wheels outward to correct the wrong offset as well as pass larger calipers for wheel fitment. (Thanks to N2 for Supporting.)

The Volkswagen Golf is a delightful and dynamic compact four-doors luxury sedan. The premium interior, comfortable seats, energetic power offers more enjoyable to drive than most of its peers. Although automakers do require their suppliers to comply with specific standards for quality and performance, these standards are often not good enough for discerning consumers. Therefore, many car enthusiasts choose to upgrade from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.

Do I need wheel spacers for rubbing?

The brake caliper is one of the most essential components of the braking system. It consists of brake pads and an internal piston that applies pressure to the brake pad. If you have upgraded your brake system with bigger brake calipers and still want to keep the current wheels attached to your vehicle without scratching, you can use a set of wheel spacers. Wheel spacers are a kind of wheel accessories which are used to create necessary distance on the inner portion of the wheel for clearance problem with brakes, tie rods and other suspension components. By pushing out the wheel, you can gain the ideal amount of clearance for a bigger brake caliper instead of rubbing against it when mounting back the wheel.

BONOSS Two-piece Design Extended Wheel Bolts

Two-piece wheel bolts consist of a standard bolt with an extended smooth shank and a ball/conical gasket above the threads. It is the same design as the new Mercedes and Porsche vehicles factory lug bolts. The gasket structure effectively eliminates the bolts loosening and abnormal sound caused by the PCD hole coaxially deviation between the vehicle hub and wheels while driving. Besides, the two-piece design has a strong matching characteristic, suitable for most factory or aftermarket wheels, ensure your vehicle wheels are secure and properly fastened every time they are removed and installed.
