BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers 12mm+12mm for Audi RS4 Avantcaid43152021-03-03T06:04:43+00:00
Efficient upgrade! Last Weekend, this Audi RS4 Avant installed BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers, front/rear 12mm (1/2 inch), PCD 5×112, CB 66.5 together with BONOSS Forged Grade 12.9 Extended Wheel Bolts. What do wheel spacers do? Wheel spacers are used for a couple of reasons. When wheels do not have enough offset. The wheel spacers would compensate for proper offset by pushing the wheels away from the vehicle hub. Having your wheel brought out the desired distance allows for mounting larger brake calipers without wheel scratching. These spacers and bolts are specifically engineered to give your car better cornering, aerodynamics, and look. (Thanks IGNITION PERFORMANCE for providing these pics)
The Audi RS4 Avant is a beautiful and powerful wagon, complete with a stylish design, exquisite interior, comfortable seats, and a sporty cabin. It offers advanced technology and lavish features to make the ride more enjoyable. The Audi RS4 is powered by a turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 engine, delivering surging acceleration. The eight-speed automatic transmission offers a smooth, sharp switch and a variable all-wheel-drive system provides engaging handling. Audi claims a 4.1-second zero-to-62-mph time and a limited 155-mph top speed. The steering is firm and fluent, the body control is dynamic and energetic, excellent suitability for road driving.
Do wheel spacers affect alignment?
Wheel spacers would only create the necessary distance on the inner portion of the wheel for clearance to solve the clearance problem of brakes, tie rods and other suspension components. If you plan to keep your current wheels and increase the offset of your car for enhancing the handling performance or exterior looks, then wheel spacers will be your ideal choice. Besides, hub-centric wheel spacers can transform a lug-centric wheel (one that centers by fastening the wheel lugs rather than a hub-specific mounting surface) into a hub-centric wheel. They are sandwiched by the wheel and vehicle hub. To be considered safe, they will need extended wheel bolts to achieve proper thread engagement.
How to confirm the length of extended bolts?
Generally, it’s easy to figure out the correct size of bolt, all you need to do is to measure the length of your stock bolt then add the thickness of the required spacer, and that will be your ideal extended bolt length. In most cases, you need a bolt that is longer by the thickness of the spacer, for example, your stock bolts are 27mm, the desired spacer is 12mm, then the right size of extended bolts would be 39mm. But there can be exceptions. Considering the critical importance of the length of thread fully engaged in the axle hub, it’s always best to measure from the wheel bolt you’re currently using.
BONOSS wheel spacer thickness can be customized flexibly, which is compatible with most vehicles. Thus, if you would like different sizes of wheel spacers, feel free to contact us. This Audi RS4 Avant uses front/rear 12mm (1/2 inch), PCD 5×112, CB 66.5.
The extended bolts are spacer structure design, which effectively eliminates the bolts loosening and abnormal sound caused by the PCD hole coaxially deviation between hub and shaft head. This Audi RS4 Avant uses ball seat bolts. If you would like a set of extended bolts, please ensure the seat type of the bolts is suitable for threading tightly. And, if you don’t know the proper length, you are welcomed to contact our tech staff freely.
