BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers 12mm+12mm for Volkswagen Polo Mk5caid43152021-01-18T08:32:41+00:00
More stable driving! Late last week, this Volkswagen Polo Mk5 installed BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers, front/rear 12mm (0.5 inches), PCD 5×100, CB 57.1 together with BONOSS Forged Grade 12.9 Extended Wheel Bolts. For many car enthusiasts who pursue personality and extreme performance, increasing the track (the distance between the left and right wheels) is an instantly effective beginning modification. A wider wheel track offers better traction, leading to more stability and better handling performance, that is why they are often used on many racing cars. Installing wheel spacers can create extra clearance to correct the wrong offset as well as pass larger calipers for wheel fitment.
Bigger and better than before, the Volkswagen Polo Mk5 is designed to be a delightful and dynamic compact four-doors small car. It comes with a modern cabin, comfortable seats, an energetic powertrain, and advanced safety features. As a highly rated “wagon” in the segment marketplace, the Volkswagen Polo is often modified by a lot of enthusiasts. One of the easiest ways to get a better stance and get a wide track as you start a modified build is to add wheel spacers. (Thanks to the owner for Supporting.)
Do I need hub-centric wheel spacers?
There are a lot of options you’ll find with wheel spacers, but they are mainly classified as hub-centric spacers and lug-centric spacers. We recommend hub-centric spacers rather than lug-centric spacers. Hub-centric spacers offer a better system of support and stability. They are designed to make a snug connection between the wheel and vehicle hub, ensuring the hub carries the weight of the car instead of the studs or bolts, meaning no gap, no vibration, no annoying noise, less energy loss, less fatigue damage, longer service life. BONOSS has further optimized the design of the hub-centric spacers for fitting perfectly.
What are extended wheel bolts for?
Any time you run wheel spacers, extended wheel bolts are a must option for properly fastening the wheel to the vehicle hub. Without the proper thread length, the stock lug bolts will not allow penetrating the vehicle hub threads completely which can cause car shaking or safety risk. In most cases, you need a bolt that is longer by the thickness of the spacer, for example, your stock bolts are 27mm, the desired spacer is 12mm, then the right size of extended bolts would be 39mm. But there can be exceptions. Considering the critical importance of the length of thread fully engaged in the axle hub, it’s always best to measure from the wheel bolt you’re currently using.
BONOSS wheel spacer thickness can be customized flexibly, which is compatible with most vehicles. Thus, if you would like different sizes of wheel spacers, feel free to contact us. This Volkswagen Polo Mk5 uses front/rear 12mm (0.5 inches), PCD 5×100, CB 57.1.
The extended bolts are spacer structure design, which effectively eliminates the bolts loosening and abnormal sound caused by the PCD hole coaxially deviation between hub and shaft head. This Volkswagen Polo Mk5 uses M14x1.5 thread ball seat bolts. If you would like a set of extended bolts, please ensure the seat type of the bolts is suitable for threading tightly. And, if you don’t know the proper length, you are welcomed to contact our tech staff freely.
