Project Description

Efficient upgrade! A few days ago, this Toyota Vellfire installed BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers, front/rear 8mm (0.3 inches), PCD 5×114.3, CB 60.1 to fit these new 17-inch BBS wheels. Larger-size wheels can enhance steering experience and high-speed performance. Increasing wheel diameter generally means wider tire width as well, making the contact patch between tires and road larger, thus boosting grip. As the grip increased, body control tends to get sharper and handling usually improves too. By pushing out the wheel, you can gain a small amount of clearance for bigger wheels instead of rubbing against the fender. (Thanks to the owner for providing these pics)

The Toyota Vellfire is undoubtedly a great luxurious massive MPV. It is large, solid and full of bling (due to many nice chrome grilles) which definitely stands out of the crowd. Though it is big, its powertrain system still provides effortless driving. It comes with a 2.5-liter petrol engine which outputs 115 bhp at 4,700 rpm, besides, there are two electric motors at the front and rear, offering 105 kW and 50 kW extra power, with the total power output rated at 196 bhp. Such a van is a perfect tour choice for celebrities, movie stars and the likes.

Do wheel spacers affect alignment?

Wheel spacers are a kind of wheel accessories which are used to create necessary distance on the inner portion of the wheel for clearance problem with brakes, tie rods and other suspension components. By pushing out the wheel, you can gain a small amount of clearance for bigger wheels instead of rubbing against the fender. Having your wheel brought out ideal distance allows for mounting larger brake calipers without wheel scratching. Furthermore, hub-centric wheel spacers can transform a lug-centric wheel (one that centers by tightening the wheel lugs rather than a hub-specific mounting surface) into a hub-centric wheel

Are hub centric wheel spacers safe?

Hub centric wheel spacers mean wheel spacers with small rings of metal made with specific diameters to fit the wheel hub, transforming a lug-centric wheel into a hub-centric one. They are designed to make a snug connection between wheel and axle hub, ensuring the hub carries the weight of the car instead of the studs or bolts. This allows the wheels are truly central to the vehicle hub, meaning no gap, no vibrations through the wheels. Besides, also reduce the stress on the wheel studs or bolts, improving service life range. By custom data, hub centric wheel spacers make it possible to install aftermarket wheels with different center diameters.
