What if the offset does not fit my car?

Offset refers to the distance in millimeters from the wheel’s centerline to the mounting plate of the wheel. Since that the mounting plate can be either in front of, coincide or behind the centerline, the offset can be either positive, neutral, or negative. A positive offset is when the mounting plate is in front of the centerline of the wheel. The mounting plate will be closer to the outside. Neutral offset is when the wheel’s mounting plate is exactly in line with the centerline. They are often referred to as “ET0” wheels. Wheels with negative offset have the mounting plate located behind the centerline of the wheel. The mounting plate will be closer to the inside.

An excessive positive offset will cause the inner edge of your rims and tires to rub against the suspension components. It can also negatively affect your car’s handling, making it potentially dangerous to drive. In this case, wheel adapters can create the desired clearance to correct the offset by pushing the wheels away from the vehicle hub. Through this function, they can give your car an excellent look.

What if the bolt pattern does not fit my car?

Wheel adapters, often also referred to as PCD adapters or PCD hub adapters, allow you to fit wheels to your vehicle when the PCD doesn’t match. By using the wheel adapters, you can build your own PCD conversion custom specification. For example, the Nissan GT-R uses Audi wheels. Nissan GT-R has a 5×114.3 stud pattern. By putting a wheel adapter on the GT-R that has a 5×114.3 stud pattern on the hub side (that will fasten with the matching lug nuts) and the wheel mounting side of the adapter will have matching studs on it in a 5×112 bolt pattern. This allows 5×112 Audi wheels to be attached to a 5×114.3 GT-R.

What if the center bore does not fit my car?

Wheel adapters can also be used to change the center bore of your car, making it possible for you to fit wheels with a different center bore to your vehicle. For example, Audi S4 uses Mustang wheels. The center diameter of the S4 is 66.5 mm. By installing a wheel adapter on the S4 which has a 66.5 mm hub-centric ring on the hub side and the wheel mounting side of the adapter will have a 70.5mm hub-centric ring on it. This allows Mustang wheels to be mounted on the Audi S4. The center ring is machined to fit the existing wheel hub of your vehicle, while the hub-centric is made to fit your new wheels and is bolted onto the adapter with proper fastening.
