Whether you would like bolt pattern (PCD) conversion or CB conversion, you can use Lucid Air wheel adapters. Typically, wheel adapters would create the necessary distance on the inner portion of the wheel for the clearance issues of wheel rims, big brakes, tie rods, and other suspension components. If you intend to convert PCD/CB for fitting aftermarket wheels, then wheel adapters will be your instant and effective solution. Moreover, a hub-centric wheel adapter can transform a lug-centric wheel into a hub-centric wheel (the hub-centric lip fills the gap of the center bore, this makes a stable wheel-spacer combination, which helps reduce the high-speed vibration). If you would like to keep the current wheels while enhancing the handling performance or exterior looks, then they will be your ideal choice. Only done properly, your modifications will be beneficial.
Steps of Installing Lucid Air Wheel Adapters
When you get your Lucid Air wheel adapters and really to install, the instructions below may help you walk through each step. Usually, wheel adapters come with PCD conversion function (e.g., 5 lug to 6 lug adapter). The hub side of the adapter (that will fasten with the provides lug nuts) is made to the vehicle bolt pattern and the wheel side will have matching lug studs on it in the bolt pattern of the wheel.
Park your Lucid Air in a safe, well-lit, level area, leave the wheels in contact with the ground;
Prepare your new wheel and wheel adapter;
Loosen all the lug nuts, lift the car and slowly remove the wheel;
Cleaning the entire hub surface, ensuring it is clean and smooth;
Place your Lucid Air adapters on the hub and ensure that the adapter is firmly seated and flush against the hub;
Tighten the adapter with the matching lug nuts to the vehicle hub to specific torque;
Installing your wheel, use the stock lug nuts to secure it;
Repeat the above steps for the remaining wheels;
Then your new wheels are safely installed on your Lucid Air.
How Can I Customize Lucid Air Wheel Adapters?
With our experience and acquired knowledge of tens of thousands of successful cases, along with independent design and production facilities and abundant actual measuring data, we have enough ability to design and build Lucid Air wheel spacers and adapters to your specifications. The most important things we need to know are thickness and your vehicle’s bolt pattern (also called PCD). Measuring the wheel gap is the most basic beginning of determining the thickness of the Lucid Air wheel adapters. It will help you find the proper thickness. We also provide non-normal thickness’s customized service, completed only in 1-3 days, 3mm-160mm thick, forged 6061-T6 (Tensile Strength≥310Mpa) or 7075-T6 (Tensile Strength≥572Mpa) Aluminum material is available, OEM/ODM is available. The color and decorative pattern of your Lucid Air wheel adapters are also available to be customized. Besides, they are made with modern CNC machinery, precision to 0.02mm tolerance, ensuring that each wheel adapter fits snugly and securely, and is built to your exact specifications.
